Abstract

This internship aims to find out the process of the Raw Material Inventory Purchasing Cycle at PT. Alpen Food Industry. The internship will be held from April 1 to April 14, 2024. The basic methods used in this internship are Interviews, Observations and Field Studies. While the location of the internship was deliberately chosen by PT. Alpen Food Industry, a subsidiary of Aice Group Holdings Pte.Ltd, because the company is a company that produces Ice Cream. The intern was placed in the Finance Division, the verification section for raw material purchase documents. From the results of the Internship Report, in implementing the purchasing cycle procedure there were several obstacles, namely facing unreliable suppliers, lack of communication with the suppliers themselves which could cause delays and inefficiencies in the delivery of raw materials. This will affect the ice cream production process so that there are obstacles in production. The solution to overcome these obstacles is to build good relationships with suppliers, and also build effective communication with suppliers by providing solutions and then solving problems more easily.
