Abstract

The performance of the Bekasi Regency Water Resources, Highways and Construction Services Department is influenced by internal factors such as compensation and work discipline, however, based on recap data on the level of work discipline of ASN employees over the last 3 years, it shows that the level of discipline of ASN employees has decreased, this can affect employee performance. which has an impact on achieving the targets and objectives of the Bekasi Regency Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development Department. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of compensation and work discipline on employee performance within the Bekasi Regency Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development Department. The sampling technique in this research used the Non Purposive Sampling method. The sample taken was 93 respondents consisting of ASN employees. The analysis used in this research is multiple regression analysis. The results of this research show: (1) there is a positive and significant influence of compensation variables on employee performance, (2) there is a positive and significant influence of work discipline variables on employee performance, (3) there is a positive and significant influence between compensation variables and work discipline on employee performance. The results of the Coefficient of Determination test analysis using SPSS version 25, the R Square value is 0.839 or 83.9%, which means that compensation and work discipline contribute 83.9% in influencing employee performance and the remaining 16.1% is influenced by other variables outside the research.
