Abstract

Objective – This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effects of firm size, profitability, and liquidity on earnings per share for companies in the coal mining subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2024. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employs a quantitative research design using secondary data. The sample consists of 32 companies in the coal mining subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2024. The analytical technique used to test the hypotheses is panel data regression analysis using Eviews-9 software. Findings – The results of this study found that firm size has a significant positive effect on earnings per share, profitability has a non-significant positive effect on earnings per share, and liquidity has a non-significant positive effect on earnings per share. Originality/Value – Numerous studies on earnings per share have been conducted, but the results remain inconsistent. Additionally, differences in the study periods and the use of variable indicators have contributed to varied results. These differences create a research gap that warrants further investigation.
