Abstract

Purpose : This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, firm size, liquidity, and leverage on firm value in banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2023–2025 period. Design/Methodology/Approach : This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2023–2025 period. The study sample consisted of 46 companies selected using a purposive sampling method, resulting in 138 observational data sets. The analysis technique used was panel data regression analysis with the help of EViews 9 software. Findings : The results of this study indicate that profitability, firm size, and leverage have a negative effect on firm value, while liquidity has a positive effect on firm value. Originality/Value : This study focuses on banking sector companies in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period, namely 2023–2025, by examining the effects of profitability, firm size, liquidity, and leverage on firm value. Unlike previous research, which was generally conducted in other sectors or over a longer period and only examined a subset of variables, this study provides a novel contribution by using the most recent period. Furthermore, this research is expected to serve as a reference for companies, investors, and future research in understanding the factors influencing firm value.
