Abstract

Objective - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the performance of Islamic finance and economic growth throughout Saudi Arabia within the framework of the sharia maqashid model. Design/methodology/approach – This research method is quantitative descriptive with explanations of the Sharia Maqashid Index, using three Islamic banks in Saudi Arabia. Findings – Based on the analysis that has been done in the research, conclusions can be obtained, namely based on the measurement of the Sharia Maqashid Index, the best value with the first rank is obtained by Al Bilad Bank which excels in the purpose of welfare and education, as for upholding justice Al Jazirah Bank is superior to other banks. Originality/Value – This paper is a paper that discusses the performance of Islamic banking with a review of sharia maqashid in Saudi Arabia. Where the state of Saudi Arabia is the center of the establishment of the world Islamic bank.
