Abstract

A warehouse is a place for storing goods, both purchased goods and goods or products resulting from production in a company. As a company develops, the number of goods that will be stored in the warehouse increases, causing problems if they are not arranged well. The problems that arise if they are not arranged neatly and well will create problems when the goods are needed quickly, the warehouse needs to find first where the item is placed so it takes time in the search process. This PKL/Internship aims to find out how to use the layout of goods in the warehouse. The method used when PKL/Internship uses the interview method with the warehouse. The warehouse implements the layout by inputting the warehouse program, the shelves which are given an identity according to the specified location are programmed and apply the 5R principle, the results of implementing this layout are very effective because it speeds up the process of picking up goods, does not require time to search for the goods you want. used. The conclusion obtained from this PKL/Internship is that the use of layout has a great influence on warehouse activities, making warehouse activities more effective and efficient in carrying out the process of releasing goods
