Abstract

This report discusses the application of infographics and visual communication as a public communication strategy on the Instagram platform of PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Bekasi. In the digital era, visualizing information plays a crucial role in effectively reaching and engaging the audience. During a three-month internship, the author was directly involved in planning, creating, and evaluating visual content such as infographics, photos, and videos published on the @plnbekasi Instagram account. Observations revealed that despite regular content uploads, audience engagement remained low. This issue was attributed to one-way communication styles, suboptimal posting times, and visual designs that failed to fully capture audience attention. By implementing a more dialogical, relevant, and informative visual communication approach—particularly through well-designed infographics—the company has the potential to enhance message delivery and strengthen public relations. This report recommends optimizing content strategy through analytics and aligning communication formats with audience characteristics to improve social media engagement.
