Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has significantly transformed how people interact and access information, impacting various aspects of life including marketing. Social media has emerged as a result of this digital transformation, offering real-time communication, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness, making it a powerful promotional tool. Instagram, one of the most popular platforms, provides features such as Stories, Reels, IGTV, and Instagram Shopping, which companies can leverage to build brand awareness and engage with their audience. PT. Bintang Mas Karya Nusantara (BMKN), a company engaged in manufacturing and engineering services, began utilizing Instagram as a digital marketing tool in January 2025. However, the optimization of its usage remains limited. This is evident from the low number of followers, minimal audience engagement, and unstructured content that has yet to take full advantage of Instagram’s features. Additionally, after-sales service information is not clearly communicated through the company’s Instagram account. Based on these conditions, this study aims to analyze the digital marketing process carried out by PT. Bintang Mas Karya Nusantara through Instagram and identify the challenges encountered in its implementation.
