Abstract

This internship report aims to analyze the employee recruitment and selection process at Medistra Indonesia School of Health Sciences (STIKes Medistra Indonesia) and identify the challenges and solutions encountered during its implementation. The internship was conducted at the Human Resource Development Unit (UPSDM). Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The findings show that the recruitment and selection process is carried out in accordance with the institution’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The process includes workforce planning, job vacancy publication, administrative screening, interviews, and employee hiring. The implementation also applies the management functions of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC). Several challenges were identified, including a limited number of qualified applicants, interview scheduling adjustments, and incomplete application documents. To overcome these issues, the institution expanded recruitment publication channels, improved coordination among units, and strengthened administrative verification. Overall, the recruitment and selection process has been implemented effectively and supports the institution’s human resource needs.
