Abstract

This internship report was prepared to describe in full the “Control of Inbound and Outbound Goods at PT Voksel Electric Tbk”. The internship activities were carried out at PT Voksel Electric Tbk, a foreign investment cable manufacturing company producing power cables, telecom cables, submarine cables, and renewable energy cables. The purpose of this internship is to identify various manufactured products and analyze the effectiveness of material flow control in the incoming logistics division. Data collection was conducted through direct field observations in the warehouse area and interviews with the supervisor. The results of the analysis indicate several major operational problems, including a shortage of support equipment such as forklifts, sub-optimal enforcement of the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle, and occupational health and safety (K3) risks during unloading operations, which lead to lead time uncertainties and potential packaging damage. Therefore, periodic evaluations must be conducted through enhanced safety supervision, warehouse layout improvements, and strict enforcement of FIFO SOPs to improve operational efficiency and supply chain flow.
