Abstract

Toko Ananda Kreo is a retail business located in Kreo Village, Larangan District, Tangerang City. This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and work environment on employee performance at Toko Ananda Kreo, both partially and simultaneously. This research employs a quantitative approach with a non-contrived, cross-sectional design, as the data were collected within a single time period without any manipulation of the respondents' conditions or behavior. The population in this study consisted of all 44 employees of Toko Ananda Kreo, with the sample determined using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale, which had satisfied validity and reliability tests. The data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 27.0, supported by classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t = 2.543; sig. = 0.015). Work environment also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t = 2.320; sig. = 0.025). Simultaneously, work motivation and work environment have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (F = 20.503; sig. < 0.001). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.476 indicates that work motivation and work environment are able to explain 47.6% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining 52.4% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Based on these findings, the management of Toko Ananda Kreo is advised to enhance work motivation by providing appreciation and rewards to employees, as well as to create a more comfortable and conducive work environment so that employee performance can continue to improve optimally.
