Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Coretax system implementation on the efficiency of unified tax reporting at PT BPR Sinar Terang. Using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, data were collected from questionnaires administered to 30 employee respondents, as well as in-depth interviews with Accounting and Customer Service staff. The statistical test results prove that Coretax implementation has a positive and significant effect on tax reporting efficiency (t hitung = 11,263 > t tabel = 2,048; p < 0,001; R2= 81,9%). Qualitative findings further elaborate that inefficiency during the initial transition period was triggered by incomplete NIK data in the Corsys system, manual recapitulation via MS Excel into XML format, and DJP server issues that caused errors and overtime work. However, as the employees' learning curve progressed and cross-unit data correction collaboration developed, the reporting duration was drastically reduced from 8–9 days to 1 working day. This study recommends the development of an internal bank system integration module (bridge/API) to minimize workflow waste in digital tax administration.
