Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to obtain empirical evidence on the effect of Cash Holding, Leverage, Firm Size, and Institutional Ownership on Financial Performance. Design/methodology/approach – This study employs a quantitative research method. The sample consists of financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021-2025 period, selected through a purposive sampling technique. The analytical technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, processed using E-Views software. Findings – The results of this study find that Cash Holding and Leverage have a significant effect on Financial Performance. Meanwhile, Firm Size and Institutional Ownership are statistically found to have no effect on Financial Performance in financial sector companies. Originality/value – This study examines the effects of Cash Holding, Leverage, Firm Size, and Institutional Ownership on Financial Performance, focusing specifically on the financial sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study provides a new contribution to a research sector that remains dynamic by examining these variables simultaneously over the latest observation period of 2021-2025. It offers an up-to-date perspective on the crucial factors determining financial performance stability and profitability within the financial industry.
