Abstract

This study aims to examine the procedures involved in determining the recipients of grant funds for elementary school teachers within the Education Office of Bekasi City. These grants are provided as recognition for the hard work of teachers, particularly those in private elementary schools that require additional support from the local government. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, documentation, and direct field observations. The findings of this study indicate that the process of selecting grant recipients involves various stakeholders and follows several administrative steps, starting from the proposal submission by schools, verification of the supporting documents submitted, to the official approval by the Bekasi City Education Office. Although the process generally follows existing regulations, several issues remain, such as delays in administration and disbursement of the grant funds. Moreover, the limited use of information technology also hampers data management. Therefore, improvements to the system and the utilization of information technology are necessary to support a more efficient and transparent process.
