Abstract

This internship report aims to determine the procedures for recording petty cash using Microsoft Excel at PT. Arnold Asima Abadi, as well as to analyze and identify the obstacles that occur during the process of recording cash inflows and cash outflows. The data sources obtained in this internship report include the company profile, documents, data, and information from employees of PT. Arnold Asima Abadi. The methods used in preparing this internship report were interviews, observation, literature study, and documentation. The results of this internship report indicate that the recording of cash receipts and cash disbursements is carried out when the administration department receives supporting documents for cash transactions, such as receipts, invoices, and proof of income and expenditure. These transactions are then recorded in the monthly income and expenditure worksheets and reported in the financial statements of PT. Arnold Asima Abadi. The obstacle encountered in the recording process is that the company still uses Microsoft Excel manually, which increases the risk of errors such as improper classification of expense categories, duplicate recording, and incorrect input of transaction amounts. This condition indicates the need for improvements in the recording system to make it more accurate and efficient in managing cash transactions within the company.
