Abstract

This internship report of the Accounting Study Program , Tri Bhakti College of Economics entitled “Payment Procedures at PT Bintang Mas Karya Nusantara” aims to examine the payment procedures implemented by the company. The data collection methods used are interviews, observation, and literature review. The results of the research indicate that the payment procedure begins with the receipt of an invoice from the vendor, followed by the inspection and verifivcation of supporting documents, verification of document accuracy, managerial approval, payment processing, generation of transfer proof, transaction recording, and document archiving. The obstacle encountered include the absence of Purchase Order (PO) numbers on invoice and delays in entering Material Good Receipt (MIGO) data into the system Therefore, it is recommended that the company ensure all purchasing staff in accordance with established procedures and improve coordination and communication among relevant departments. These measures are expected to make the payment process more effective, efficient, and timely.
