Abstract
Objective – This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of profitability, dividend policy, firm size, and sales growth on firm value in primary consumer goods sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2023–2025 period. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative research method using a sample of 38 primary consumer goods sector companies selected through a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 114 observations. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with the assistance of EViews 9 software, and the selected model was the Random Effect Model (REM). Findings – The results indicate that profitability has a positive effect on firm value and is significant at the 10% significance level, dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on firm value, firm size has a negative but insignificant effect on firm value, and sales growth has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Simultaneously, profitability, dividend policy, firm size, and sales growth have a significant effect on firm value. The Adjusted R-squared value of 0.083994 indicates that 8.40% of the variation in firm value can be explained by profitability, dividend policy, firm size, and sales growth, while the remaining 91.60% is explained by other factors outside the research model. Originality/Value – This study examines firm value and the factors affecting it, namely profitability, dividend policy, firm size, and sales growth, in primary consumer goods sector companies. This study uses the Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio as a proxy for measuring firm value.
