Abstract

Field Work Practices (FWP) are academic activities (intracurricular) carried out by students through direct work practices at institutions/companies relevant to the students' courses. The form of activities carried out by students is through researching and participating directly in all activities in a company. A company’s main goal is to earn as much profit as possible, which makes the role of inventory important in operational activities to achieve this goal. The company's inventory is the result of cooperation with outside parties, namely the warehouse manager. The process of recording the inventory of goods can be said to follow the company's objectives if the inventory recording in the system is in accordance with the physical goods in the warehouse when doing the stock opname. An inappropriate inventory recording process can hamper the company's operational activities. Companies must cooperate with the warehouse manager to avoid obstacles and misstatements in recording inventory. This is the background for the author to compile this FWP Report. The method used in this street vendor is the direct method: to work in related divisions and interview company workers. Based on the results of street vendors, the authors can conclude that there are still some things in recording inventory that are not following company standards, especially regarding the norms of recording time in the SOP/SPI warehouse manager.
